But Joe Biden’s Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, has — a whopping 18 times in 2 years. Yes, this is the same Pete Buttigieg who regularly chastises the American people for not buying enough electric vehicles (with batteries made in China) in order to save the planet.
Oh, and that’s not even the best part … Buttigieg flips the bill for his private jets to … you guessed it … us, the taxpayers. $5,000 per hour. That means that if his average flight was 2 hours in length, the cost to Uncle Sam is about $180,000. Mighty generous of us, don’t you think?
At best this is government waste. Why in the world can’t a Transportation Secretary ride on a commercial aircraft like the rest of us “commoners?” Keep laughing Pete – we’ll see what happens to your job after the 2024 election!
