CNN anchor Don Lemon inserted his foot into his mouth once again yesterday when he suggested that GOP presidential contender Nikki Haley was “not in her prime” because she is no longer in her “20s, 30s, or early 40s.”
Wait, what?
There are so many things wrong with this comment from dear ‘ole Don. It is a sexist, ageist, and even on the face of it, just plain inaccurate position to take. Shocking, right?
Lemon’s intent was to “flip the table” on conservatives who suggest that Joe Biden, who will be 86 years old at the end of his second term if he is reelected, might be a tad too old for the role as Commander-in-Chief. Haley is 51 years old. The difference is not insignificant and Lemon knows it.
CNN has take small steps in recent months to clean house of its tired, predictable, and far left on-air “talent.” Lemon should be the next to get squeezed out.
