It’s not your father’s Democrat party any longer. Unless, of course, your father was a socialist.
Did you see what happened in Buffalo earlier this month? The incumbent Democrat Mayor, Byron Brown, had the gall to run against a far-left socialist candidate who was favored by AOC and Chuck Schumer. Mayor Brown won via a write-in campaign – no small feat and a very compelling indication that the extreme party leadership is losing the support of its voters.
You would think they’d be concerned, right? They’re not. In fact, allies of Bernie Sanders have announced a plan to strip Mayor Brown from his position in the national Democrat party. That’s the thanks Mayor Brown gets for saving the party from a regional embarrassment.
Remember what our great Republican President Ronald Reagan once said:
Socialism only works in two places: Heaven where they don’t need it and hell where they already have it.
